Get Well Soon

Hi Guys, Laura here today...

It is always nice to have a stash of get well soon cards to hand, here is one I made...

This is a layer of vellum over a layer of stencilling, added to a shimmer-y card base.  I added a strip of 3mm grosgrain and a few sequins from my stash.

You can find a huge range of 3mm ribbon here and if you are anything like me you will want some in every colour :D

Thanks for stopping by!

Vintage Butterflies Ribbon cards

Hello everyone, sadly this will be my last post with Crafty Ribbons, but I have really enjoyed my time here.  So I decided to go out with a bit of a bang lol.  I have created 16 cards using the one-sheet wonder technique, only I used two sheets of patterned paper instead lol.  I am posting eight of these cards here, and to see the other eight, you will have to visit my blog at Ode to Paper :)  I know, how mean lol.

Yes, this post is very picture heavy, lol, but I think you'll find that it's worth the trouble :)

I am listing all of the gorgeous ribbons from Crafty Ribbons that I used in creating all 16 cards.

Ribbon Ice Cream?!

Hi, Laura here today.

A few years back Ali (Crafty Ribbons owner) made some adorable ribbon cupcakes.  They planted a seed in my mind... what about a ribbon ice cream cone?  A few years have past, but the idea hung on and has now come to fruition...

The cone is made by pinning Swiss dot ribbon in 'tan and white' to a polystyrene cone.

It always takes me a long time to decide what flavour to pick when I buy a cone, and true to form it took a long while to decide which ribbons to use!  I settled on Raspberry ripple and used a collection of pink ribbon in both grosgrain and organza Swiss dots.

These were also pinned to polystyrene - I cut a ball in half to give me a scoop type shape.  As I pinned I twisted to give the look of ice cream from a Mr Whippy machine.

I hope you like this creation...  I'm quite hungry now... off for an ice cream I think!
